Meet The Team

Amie Springhall
Director co-founder
Registered Manager
With over 20 years of experience in the health and social care sector, I have built my career from the ground up — starting as a Support Worker and progressing to Manager of a Supported Living Service for young adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. I later went on to manage a Forensic Mental Health Step-Down Unit, supporting individuals to rebuild their independence and confidence after long stays in secure hospital settings, helping them safely reintegrate into the community.
I hold qualifications up to Level 5 in Health and Social Care, along with additional training in Child Care, Autism, Mental Health, Dementia, and Positive Behaviour Support. These have given me a broad understanding of complex needs and how to provide the right level of support for each individual.
As a mum of four daughters — two of whom have a diagnosis of autism — I understand firsthand the challenges that individuals and families can face. This has given me a deeper sense of empathy and a strong commitment to providing care that truly makes a difference.
I am passionate about delivering person-centred, empowering, and compassionate care, working closely with individuals and their families to achieve the best possible outcomes.
It is extremely important to me that Empowering Support Services Ltd providers the highest quality care in an environment where people feel safe, valued, and supported to live fulfilling, independent lives - just as I would want for my own family.
Chris Springhall
Director co founder
I began working within the care setting 12 years ago and have worked my way up to level 4 in the Health and Social care industry.
After many years of working in various trades I decided I needed a change! I had cared for a terminally ill parent when I was young and this inspired me to pursue a career in care. It was the best decision I ever made.
I have worked in many sectors of care throughout the years. This ranges from young adults with learning disabilities to elderly with dementia. I have also worked supporting the homeless within the Kentish towns.
Empowering Support Services Ltd is a direct reflection of me and what my values and experience represent.

Karly Savoury

I am a mum of four grown children, and four grandchildren. I adore animals and own horses and dogs.
I have 20 years experience in many different settings, from preschool children to elderly and end of life care. Schools, supported living, residential homes and family homes. I have experience with medical support needs such as Tracheostomy and PEG feeding. I have managed various services which support adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health.
Personalising your support is important to me, to ensure we support your needs, to help reach achieve your goals and be happy.

Daisy Manchett
Field Care Supervisor
I am a mum of two and have worked within the care sector for over 11 years, both in care homes and in the community supporting people in their own homes. During this time, I have held a senior role in a care home, where I supported staff, led by example and ensured high standards of care were maintained at all times.
Throughout my career, I have supported individuals living with dementia, learning disabilities and Huntington's disease. I also have experience with stoma care, PEG feeding and catheter care.
Having cared for a family member with dementia, I've experienced care from both a professional and personal perspective. This has given me a deeper understanding of how important it is to provide truly person-cantered care, ensuring that support is tailored to each individual's needs, preferences and values.

Kerry Manchett
Support Worker
With over 25 years of working with children and young adults across various areas of the care sector, I have developed extensive knowledge and understanding of trauma and its impact on emotional regulation, sensory processing and the ability to form trusting relationships.
My career has spanned diverse roles including Therapeutic Lead in a residential setting, Early Years Visual Impairment Play Specialist, Mental Health navigator within the NHS and Public Health Assistant. This breadth of experience has provided me with holistic perspective on the importance of personalised, trauma-informed care and the value of seeing each person as individual.
On a personal level, I am a parent to two daughters and two step daughters. One of my daughters was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of three which has given me profound empathy for those living with visible and invisible disabilities and a deep appreciation for the lifelong impact these can have.
I am passionate about empowering those I care for and fostering a supportive, collaborative team culture. My goal is always to ensure that every person we support feels listened too, respected, independent, and confident in who they are - Knowing that their voice matters.

Carol Tompsett
Care Worker
With over 40 years experience in the care sector, caring for others has always been at the heart of everything I do. I began my career working in intuitional care where I first discovered my passion for supporting people and making a real difference in their daily lives. Over the years, I have worker across a variety of settings including community and residential care, supporting older adults and those with a wide range of physical and emotional needs.
During my time with Kent County Council (KCC) I carried out care assessments and worked closely with individuals and families to ensure they received the right level of support. This experience helped me to understand how important it is to listen, show empathy and treat every person as an individual.
I later became a registered manager in a care home for older adults where I had the privilege of leading a team and creating a caring, homely environment where residents felt valued and safe.
After many years in the sector, my passion for caring remains as strong as ever. I take great pride in providing compassionate, person-centred care and building meaningful relationships with those I support. For me, it's about making sure every person feels comfortable and truly cared for - Just as I would want for my own family.
